[So after the trial Undine is absolutely going up to Ichigo. Because after how well he and Akira did today, she is figuring that they are the team to trust here.]

[He definitely looks tired - especially after everything that's happened, and how Dahlia called him out by name - but he tries to smile, even if it's strained, when Undine comes up to him.]

[He does look very tired, and Undine is almost ready to tell him that it's alright, she can ask another time. But she knows the reapers won't wait, so she can't wait either.]

I need your help. Not immediately right now, but probably in the near future.

[Almost instantly, she has his attention - and he straightens up, looking around them before speaking next.]

In the future? What's going on?

[Is she already in trouble? Right after the trial?]

I'm worried about my partner attracting the attention of the reapers.

He keeps running off, and I can't keep an eye on him all the time!

[Pairs aren't exactly told in their rulebook, so he has no idea who her partner is.]

Sometimes? I was more thinking, if you hear anything about someone trying to do anything against Vanitas, then maybe give me the heads-up? I'm not actually new to this-

-so I could probably protect him on my own. It's just tracking him down that's hard.

You seem like the trustworthy type. And like I said, you and Akira did really well at the trial today. It makes me think you two can't be reapers, and I know that doesn't automatically mean you'll be trustworhy, but it's still better than being a reaper.

And I...don't have much of a choice anyway. I need to trust SOMEBODY to help me here, so why not the two guys who look like they're looking out for everyone?

His expression's unreadable for a moment, before he smiles, rubbing the back of his head.]

...Thank you. I'm not sure if I'm really 'looking out for everyone', but...I appreciate you saying that.

If I was really looking out for everyone, maybe I should've pushed for Himemiya and Maya to make a pact.

[Something flashes in her eyes.]

Didn't you know? Maya and Himemiya could've both lived if they'd made a pact with each other. The host even confirmed it, but Himemiya....she didn't want to.

[And Maya died because of it.]

...but we would've had to kill Dahlia - and vote for someone else. Someone who was innocent.

...Maybe. But it probably wouldn't have changed the fact that someone had to die at the end of it all.

Still, it's better if it's the ones causing all of this, right? Innocent people shouldn't have to die.
